When people hear the name Matarazzo, they often think of Gaten Matarazzo, the young actor who became famous for playing Dustin Henderson in Netflix’s Stranger Things. But Gaten is not the only member of his family who enjoys performing. His older sister, Sabrina Matarazzo, has also spent time acting and singing.
Sabrina was born on October 15, 1998, and grew up in a family that enjoyed music and entertainment. She started showing an interest in performing when she was young. Over the years, she has appeared in television shows, acted in short films and sung alongside her younger brother.
Unlike Gaten, Sabrina has mostly stayed away from the busy world of celebrity interviews and public events. Still, people remain curious about her, especially those who have followed the Matarazzo family since Stranger Things became popular.
There is more to Sabrina’s story than simply being related to a famous actor. Her childhood, family relationships and time in entertainment help explain why her name continues to attract attention.

Who Is Sabrina Matarazzo?
Sabrina Matarazzo is an American actress and singer who has also gained attention through social media. Many people first heard about her because of her younger brother, Gaten, but Sabrina had already developed an interest in performing before he became widely known.
She has worked on a small number of acting projects, including The Americans, Beyond Kepler and Major Key. She has also performed songs at public events, sometimes sharing the stage with Gaten.
Although Sabrina has experience in entertainment, she has never been as publicly visible as her brother. There is also very little confirmed information about her recent work.
This does not take away from the projects she has completed. Her acting appearances and musical performances remain part of her story, even if she is not regularly seen on television today.
Early Life and Childhood
Sabrina Matarazzo was born in the United States on October 15, 1998. She grew up alongside her two younger brothers in a family with close ties to New Jersey.
Music was something the Matarazzo children shared from an early age. Sabrina and her brothers enjoyed singing, and some of their childhood performances eventually brought them in front of much larger audiences.
Growing up around people who love music can make performing feel like a normal part of life. For Sabrina, singing was not something that only appeared after her brother became famous. It was already part of her childhood.
Not much has been publicly shared about her school years or college education. Sabrina has not made these details a major part of her public image, so it is better not to make assumptions about where she studied.
What is known is that her interest in music and acting continued as she grew older.
Sabrina Matarazzo’s Parents and Family
Sabrina comes from a family that many Stranger Things fans have become interested in over the years.
Her parents are Gaetano Matarazzo Jr. and Heather Matarazzo. She is the eldest of three children, with two younger brothers named Gaten and Carmen.
Her mother shares a name with the American actress Heather Matarazzo, but they are two different people. This has sometimes caused confusion among people searching for information about the family.
Gaten is the most recognised member of the household because of his work in television and theatre. Carmen has also shown an interest in music and performing.
The siblings have been seen together at entertainment events and on television. These appearances have given fans a chance to see the family outside Gaten’s fictional world on Stranger Things.
For Sabrina, having a brother with an international fan following naturally brought more attention to her own life.
Her Relationship With Gaten Matarazzo
Sabrina and Gaten share more than a family name. They also have a history of performing together.
Long before Gaten became famous, the brother and sister had already spent time singing at public events. Their shared interest in music is one of the better-known parts of their childhood.
Gaten’s life changed considerably when he joined the cast of Stranger Things. The Netflix series premiered in 2016 and quickly attracted viewers from many countries.
His character, Dustin Henderson, became one of the show’s best-loved characters. With that success came greater interest in his family, including Sabrina.
However, Sabrina’s musical interests did not begin because of the show’s popularity. She had already been involved in public performances before her brother’s breakthrough.
Their appearances together offer a glimpse of the interests they shared while growing up.
Sabrina Matarazzo’s Acting Career
Acting is another part of Sabrina’s background that many people do not know much about.
One of her television credits is The Americans, the crime and spy drama that followed two Soviet agents living secretly in the United States.
Sabrina appeared in the series in 2018, playing a character named Vivian. Although it was not a major role, it gave her an opportunity to work on an established television production.
During the same year, she appeared in the short film Beyond Kepler, playing Ava Carroll.
She also received an acting credit for Major Key, another short film released in 2018. In that production, she played Ilse Brauhn.
These projects form an important part of her publicly documented acting work.
Sabrina has not built the same long list of film and television roles as her brother. Her credits are more limited, and there is little reliable public information about any major recent acting projects.
Still, the roles show that she has worked in front of the camera and explored acting beyond family appearances.
Her Love for Singing
If there is one interest Sabrina and her brothers have clearly shared, it is music.
Sabrina has performed as a singer at public events, including sporting occasions where she appeared alongside Gaten.
One of their memorable appearances was connected with the New York Mets in 2015. The siblings sang the American national anthem before a baseball game after winning a competition.
Performing the national anthem in front of a stadium crowd is a very different experience from singing at home or in a small school event.
It is a chance to perform for people who may be hearing you for the first time.
The siblings have also been associated with an early musical appearance at the US Open tennis tournament.
These performances are worth mentioning because they took place before Gaten reached his greatest level of fame.
Although Sabrina has shown an interest in singing, there is no widely confirmed information about a solo studio album or a major recording career.
Her musical background is best known through the public performances she has shared with her family.
Sabrina Matarazzo on Celebrity Family Feud
In 2019, Sabrina appeared with members of her family on Celebrity Family Feud.
The popular American game show, hosted by Steve Harvey, features celebrity teams answering questions based on public surveys.
For viewers, it was an opportunity to see the Matarazzo family together in a relaxed television setting.
Sabrina was not playing a character or following a film script. She appeared as herself, joining her relatives for the competition.
The programme helped introduce her to viewers who might only have recognised Gaten.
Family game shows often reveal a lighter side of celebrities because their relatives become part of the entertainment. Sabrina’s appearance was one of the few occasions when audiences could see her on a nationally recognised television programme.
Her Instagram and Social Media Life
Sabrina has also attracted followers through social media.
She is known for her Instagram username @sabrinaclaire, where people have been able to follow parts of her life away from television.
Social media has made it easier for people who are not full-time celebrities to develop their own audience. Someone might become known through acting, music or a family connection and then gain followers who are interested in learning more.
This has been part of Sabrina’s public experience.
However, she does not share every detail of her life publicly. Much of her day-to-day routine, relationships and current work remains outside the information available to the public.
Rather than making guesses about those areas, it is more useful to focus on the things that are actually known about her.
Why Is Sabrina Matarazzo Famous?
The biggest reason Sabrina’s name appears in online searches is her relationship with Gaten Matarazzo.
Fans of Stranger Things often become interested in the actors’ families, particularly when relatives have also appeared in entertainment projects.
But Sabrina’s story goes a little further than that connection.
She has her own acting credits, experience singing in front of large audiences and a television appearance with her family.
Her public career may be smaller than Gaten’s, but it includes real work in television, short films and live performance.
That combination is why people who discover her through her brother sometimes continue searching for information about her own life.
Where Is Sabrina Matarazzo Today?
Many people want to know whether Sabrina is still working as an actress or singer.
As of 2026, reliable public information about her latest career plans remains limited. There have been no widely documented announcements confirming a major new television role or solo music release.
Her earlier performances and acting credits continue to be the main sources of information about her entertainment career.
It is possible for someone to have interests outside the public eye without discussing them in interviews or on social media. However, without confirmed information, it would be wrong to describe Sabrina’s current work or personal plans as established facts.
For now, she remains known for her earlier acting projects, musical performances and connection to the Matarazzo family.
Conclusion
Sabrina Matarazzo may be best known as Gaten Matarazzo’s older sister, but she has a story of her own. From singing at public events to taking roles in television and short films, she has experienced different sides of the entertainment world.
Her family connection has brought attention to her name, yet her earlier performances show that she was interested in music long before Stranger Things became a worldwide success.
Today, Sabrina keeps much of her life away from public attention. Even so, her acting work, musical background and family appearances continue to interest people who want to know more about the woman behind the familiar Matarazzo name.
